The ADDF aims to use different partnerships and fund research programs in order to discover a cure. The foundation’s funding is entirely focused on preclinical research and early-stage clinic trials with new drugs that are promising but are not yet receiving financial support from the pharmaceutical industry.

The GBFAI was founded in 2007 and focuses on funding research on the early stages of Alzheimer’s, awareness and diagnosis. The initiative also funds the Geoffrey Beene NeuroDiscovery Challenge, which offers $50,000 in awards to researchers behind innovative brain health projects.

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America provides care and services hoping to reduce fear about the disease, promote early detection, support families and caregivers and improve quality of life for those with Alzheimer’s.
