These special gatherings are designed for people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s to share memories, music, and fun with caregivers, spouses, family members.

In addition to great social interaction, information about Alzheimer’s disease and Association support services is also made available.

The following is a list of memory cafés within the Northeastern United States:

Connecticut

The Memory Café at First United Methodist Church, Cross Rd (between High Ridge and Long Ridge) Stamford, CT 06905. Meets second Wednesdays from 1:00 -3:00 pm. Contact Hilda Cook (203) 322-7549.

Delaware

The Memory Café meets at North Dam Mill (Perks Coffee), 2 Main Street, Biddeford, ME 04005 on

Massachusetts

The Memory Café meets at the Pleasantries Adult Day Services building, 195 Reservoir St, Marlborough, MA on the 4th Sunday each month from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. For more information call Tammy at (508) 481-0809.

The Reading- North Reading Memory Café meets at the Meadowview Care and Rehabilitation building, 1134 North St. North reading MA 01864. For information about dates and times, call (978) 276-2000.

New Hampshire

Alzheimer’s Café at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire 6 Washington St. Dover NH 03820 It meets the 3rd Thursday of each month from 2:00-4:00 pm. Contact Paula Rais (603) 742-2002.

Memory Café at the Dartmouth Institute, Novell Building, Centerra Park, 30 Lafayette St., Lebanon, NH 03766. It meets once a month on Saturdays from 10:00-noon. Contact Dr. Robert Santulli (603) 650-5804.

New Jersey

The Memory Café meets at Meadowview nursing Home at 1420 S. Black Horse Pike, Williamstown NJ 08094 No days or time given. For more information call Claire Henry at (978) 875 – 8094 or email her at claire.henry@sunh.com.

New York

The Memory Arts Café at the New York Memory Center, 199 14th Street at 4th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11215. It meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Contact Gary Glazner (718) 499-7701.

The Alzheimer’s Café in New York City meets at Sambuca Restaurant 20 W. 72 St. New York NY on the 1st Tuesday each month from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm. For more information call (646) 744 -2923 or email LCenteno@alznyc.org.

Memory Café at the OLV Senior Neighborhood, 55 Melroy Ave. Lackawanna NY 14218. It meets the 2nd Thursday each month from 1 – 3 pm. Call (716) 858-2177 for information.

Memory Café is at the Weinberg Campus, 461 John Jones Audubon Highway, Amherst NY 14228. Call (716) 858-2177 for information. The Albany Alzheimer’s Café at the Beltrone Living Center 6 Winners Circle, Colonie NY. 12205, meets on the 1st Thursday of each month, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Call (518) 459-2857.

The Memory Café at the Comfort Today building, 17 Gifford Ave. Jamestown NY 14701, meets on the 1st Tuesday each month at 2:00 pm -3:30 pm. For more information call (716) 488-9434.

Pennsylvania

The Alzheimer’s Café at the Friendly Community Center meets once each month on the third Thursday from 2 – 4 pm at the United Methodist Church Ministry Center at the intersection of Rt 390 and Rt 191 in Mountainhome, PA. Contact Rick or Barbara Rossi at 570-481-4024.

Washington, D.C.
